I'm Kristian Walker, author of Right Brain Left Field. I'm the thirty-something husband of Christine and father of Jordan (12), Gabriel (10), Jacob (6), Spencer (4) and Benjamin (1). Yes, you counted right, I have 5 children (plus a dog and cat). Here's a family portrait.

Professionally, I'm the President and Creative Director of Eurekaville Design & Communcations. Eurekaville is a virtual design firm and ad agency serving clients both large (General Motors, Novartis, University of Notre Dame) and small (Atkinson Electrical Service, Public Education Foundation, Eagle Glass Concepts) with a full range of advertising and marketing. I'm also a freelance illustrator. Some days you'll find me at Southwestern Michigan College, where I'm an adjunct professor in the graphic design program. I've taught classes in Typography, Web Design, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.

Any time I'm not spending working or being a family man is spent in my calling as the Young Men's President of the Sturgis Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. If you're not LDS, that means I'm the Youth Minister for my church.

The title of this blog came from a brainstorming session with master copywriter Steve Yankee. We were working on copy for the Eurekaville site. Looking for ways to convey the idea that Eurekaville is a highly creative firm that looks for new, outside-the-norm ways to get our clients noticed, he came up with "The Right Brain out in Left Field". We're still writing the copy for the site, but I thought it made a cool blog identity.
